Our climbing activity is suitable for all levels of fitness and experience. Within the group, people are able to progress at their own pace in a welcoming, friendly and supportive atmosphere.
About our climbing activity
Our climbing project runs at TCA’s The Prop Store in Maryhill.
Participants get the chance to learn how to boulder and rope climb with the groups being led by professional instructors and supported by Common Wheel staff and volunteers.
We also run some outdoor climbing sessions during the summer in partnership with Climb Scotland.
We are based at The Prop Store in Maryhill.
To take part in our climbing group you need to be referred by a mental health professional or support worker. If you have any questions, would like to go on the alert list or would like to refer someone please contact [email protected] to get the referral link.
We’re not currently recruiting for a climbing group, but keep an eye out here for updates.
“I think climbing is a great activity. It’s not only fun, but has helped get me physically and mentally active and become fitter, all of which has helped with my mental health and wellbeing as well as my physical health. The social aspect is also incredibly important. Having had depression and feeling isolated, meeting new people and learning a new skill alongside them has been incredibly rewarding.”
