The latest at Common Wheel
We recently had Good Vibrations lead a block of Gamelan sessions for our Community Music Project. The participants and staff all really enjoyed learning about a completely different and new instrument.
Over the last few months participants had the opportunity to take part in a short block of Spanish Lessons run by Lingo Flamingo. Everyone who took part really enjoyed it and learnt a lot over the 10 weeks.

Bearsden festival
Carnival Club’s fantastic Bearsden Shark was on display as part of the Bearsden Festival last weekend. The shark inspired the creation of lots of mini sharks at workshops across the weekend.
This year we are celebrating being 21 and decided to have a party to celebrate the occasion. People from all over the organisation and throughout the 21 years came along and it was a brilliant day!
As part of the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust’s Open Day Common Wheel had a pop-up exhibit of interesting and unusual bikes. The bikes were chosen by Neil and Steven and the exhibit was curated by our volunteer Marissa. It looked and gave a lot of enjoyment to bike and non bike specialists alike.
Govanhill Carnival 2022
Carnival Club created beautiful flags which were flown at the Govanhill Carnival last weekend.
Common Wheel’s Improvers Climbing group headed out to Auchinstarry for an outdoor climbing session ran by Climb Scotland.
